The officers and members of Minquas Fire Company is sad to announce the passing of Life member George F. Staker Jr. Mr. Staker is the father of our current Vice President Tim Staker. Mr. Staker held the positions of Vice President, Chief Engineer and Fire Police. Mr Staker was also a member of Five Points Fire co (station17) for 11 years. Mr Staker passed away on Friday April 9th. Funeral arrangments are as follows:

Viewing will be held on Wednesday April 14th from 6pm to 8pm at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral home located at 212 E. Justice Street Newport Delaware.

A second viewing will be held on Thursday April 15th from 10am to 11am. Service to begin at 11 am. Internmet will follow at the Delaware Veterans Cemetary located at 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, Delaware.
