Just after midnight  00:39,  Units were dispatched to the 1216 Box  (Saddlebrook) for a reported house fire. Rescue Engine 126 arrived with a 2 story middle of the row Townhouse reporting "smoke showing" from the second floor. 232 arrived with 7 Volunteers as the second due Engine, and secured the hydrant line for 126, pumping through our rig to them. 232's crew endured heavy smoke conditions, and ammunition rounds going off while performing  the primary searches of the residence. The crew split into two groups  to perform many tasks, searching and throwing  ground ladders, as well as ventelation. Units operated for approximately 1 1/2 hours.   Another outstanding job by the crew, keeping up the Newport  tradition of brotherhood and aggressive firefighting.
