On the above date, just after 1900hrs, Rescue 23 was alerted as the RIT to assist Station 14 (Cranston Heights) on a residential fire in the Brookland Terrace section of their first due. Engine 14 had arrived and reported fire showing. Rescue 23 responded with a crew of 7 under the command of Asst. Chief DiVesta. Rescue 23 arrived and was assigned by command to report to the roof and perform vertical ventilation. After that task was complete, Rescue 23's crew assisted with overhaul inside of the structure. Rescue 23 operated for around 2 hours before clearing the scene.
