On the above date, at around 2030hrs, Station 23 was alerted for an Engine to assist Stations 3,6, and 12 for a reported residential fire. Engine 235 with a crew of 6 under the command of Captain Mills, and Rescue 23 with a crew of 7 under the command of FF DiVesta responded within one minute. Assistant Fire Chief 3 arrived to find "fire showing" from an attached garage. Engine 23 arrived and secured Engine 12's supply line, and stretched a back up hand-line to extinguish fire located in the garage. Rescue 23 arrived as the first due special service and was directed by command to report to the roof to assist in checking for extension. Units operated for a little over an hour before being released by command.
