On the above date, at 1019 hrs, Station 23 was alerted for an Engine to assist stations 3,6, and 12 (Christiana) on a townhouse fire. Engine 235 quickly responded with a crew of 5 under the command of Engine Captain Mills. Deputy Chief 6 arrived to find smoke showing from a two story middle of the row townhouse. Engine 235 arrived as the second engine and stretched a backup line into the fire building. Crews found a fire in the basement and extinuished the same. Engine 235 operated for around an hour before being released by command.
