Resuce Co. Handles Crash with Entrapment

On the above date around 0330 hours, Station 23 was alerted to assist Station's 3, 6, and 12 (Christiana) for a Motor Vehicle Collision with reports of subjects trapped on Interstate 95 Northbound in the area of Churchmans rd. Rescue 23 responded with a crew of 4 under the command of Lieutenant Moorhead. While enroute, a St. Francis Hospital Ambulance arrived on scene and reported a 3 car accident with 2 patients heavily trapped in 1 vehicle. Rescue 23 arrived shortly after Rescue-Engine 12-6 and went to work by stabilizing the vehicle and removing the patients. Crews approxamitly worked for 12 minutes to extricate the patients. The crew then assisted with debris clean up and lighting for the Delaware State Police investigation. Crews cleared about an hour after arrival.
