2nd Alarm Building Fire in New Castle

On the above date around 0800 hours, the assignment was struck for the 300 block of Bay West Blvd. for a commercial building on fire in company 18's fist due (Goodwill of New Castle). Engine 18 arrived on scene with a Commercial Structure with fire showing and requested the 2nd alarm assignment which added Engine 23 and other area companies. Engine 23-5 responded with 5 under the command of Rescue Captain DiVesta. On arrival the crew went to work by assisting with fire suppresion and overhaul. The crew operated for about an hour before returning to quarters.
