Engine Company Runs a Vehicle Fire

On the above date, at approximately 1630hrs Engine 23 was alerted to respond to the intersection of East Market Street and Augustine Street in Newport for a vehicle fire.  23 Captain 3 (Thompson) arrived and reported one vehicle well involved.  Engine 235 with a crew of 4 under the command of FF Hamm responded along with Deputy Chief 23 (Harvey Jr.).  Engine 235 arrived and placed 1 hand-line in service and quickly extinguished the fire.  Deputy 23 had the "Newport Command".
