The topic of the weekly Wednesday night training was ventilation. Members worked on both the roof ventilation prop, along with the prop simulating removing metal bars from windows.
While members were conducting training, the company was dispatched to 100 Ethan Drive along with NCC Paramedics in reference to a pedestrian struck by auto. Rescue Engine 236, Ambulance 23, and the Duty Officer quickly responded. The units arrived to find on patient, with apparent minor injuries and transported the same to a local hospital. The other units cleared the scene turning it over to the Newport Police, and returned to the fire school. Captain Mills had the "Newport Command."
