Engine Handles Van Fire on Delaware Memorial Bridge.

On the above date around 1745 hours, Engine 23 under the command of FF Mahoney was returning from a Structure Fire in Station 18's district when the crew noticed a large column in the area of the Delaware River. Engine 23 started that way and shortly after Station 20 (Holloway Terrace) was alerted for a vehicle fire with a large fuel load on top of the Delaware Memorial Bridge. Because of the location and Station 20 units still being committed to the Structure Fire, Engine 23 made the response. Engine 23 arrived seconds after Salem County Rescue 7 (Deepwater) and found a Mobile Home fully involved with fire. Engine 23 assisted with fire suppression and overhaul. The Engine operated for about 30 minutes before being released by Chief 20.
