1 Trapped on Interstate 95

On Monday 02/27/2017 just before 1800hrs, Station 23, along with Station 12 and NCC Paramedics were alerted to the area of Interstate 95 S/B at the Sandbox for an accident with entrapment involving a DART bus.  Ambulance, Rescue, Squad and Chief 23 quickly responded.  Units arrived to find 1 subject trapped, and multiple injuries on the DART bus.  Rescue and Squad 23 along with Squad and Ladder 12 quickly extricated 1 subject from the vehicle.  Multiple patients were transported to the trauma center.  Units also on scene: Engine and Utility 23, Ambulances 12, 30, and 28.  Chief Dierolf had the "Newport Command."
