Rescue Runs 16 House Fire

On April 5, 2017 at around 1300hrs, Station 23 was alerted for the Rescue to assist Station 16 on a Residential Fire in the 1300 block of Kenwood Road in the Oak Hill section of their first due.  Rescue 23 with a crew of 7 quickly responded.  Fire Chief 19 arrived and reported fire showing from the second floor of a private dwelling.  Rescue 23 arrived as the first due special service and immediately went to work forcing the front door and beginning a search of the fire floor while the outside team laddering the building.  Rescue 23 operated for around 90 minutes before being cleared by command.
