Motorycycle Crash on 141

On 05/01/2018 at approximately 1640hrs, Station 23, NCC Paramedics, Ambulance 16 and DSP Aviation were alerted to respond to the area of SR 141 northbound overtop of Newport for a motorcycle crash.  Rescue 23, and Chief 23 responded.  Units arrived and began patient care before the arrival of EMS assets.  The patient was transported to the trauma center via DSP Aviation's Trooper 4 with serious injuries.  The roadway remained closed for just over 3 hours.  Chief Dierolf had the "Newport Command".
