Rescue Handles Storage Container Fire

At 1540 hours on Tuesday, October 30, Rescue 23 was returning from a Christiana box alarm when fireboard advised of an outside fire pending at the Conrad School of Science in the 200 block of Jackson Avenue. Rescue 23 responded with five members onboard, and Squad 17 was added to the assignment for suppression purposes. Chief 23 arrived to find smoke showing from a storage container full of sports equipment in the rear of the school. Rescue 23 arrived and placed the bumper line inservice, extinguishing all fire. Squad 17 arrived and assisted with water supply. The incident was placed under control in a matter of minutes, and all units cleared within an hour.
