Squad 23 Runs 17 Residential Fire

At 1406 hours on Sunday, January 6, the residential structure fire assignment was sent to the 300 block of Mary Ann Drive for the report of a house on fire. Squad 23 responded immediately with four volunteers, along with the Fire Chief and Deputy. The Squad landed the first engine assignment, and placed one line inservice extinguishing a fire in the kitchen that had started extending to the cabinets and walls. The incident was under control in a matter of minutes and all 23 units cleared within an hour.
