On Wednesday 04/03/2019 at around 1930hrs, while companies were at the New Caslte division of the Delaware State Fire School participating in training, the 19 box was dispatched for a house fire near the intersection of Old Lancaster Pike and Kings Grant Road. Squad and Deputy 23 responded. Initial arriving units arrived and found smoke showing from a single family dwelling in the 1100 block of Old Lancaster Pike. Squad 23 arrived as the third engine and secured a secondary water supply. Squad 23's crew assisted with fire suppression and overhaul. Station 23 units operated for around 1.5 hours before being released by command.
