On the above date, at around 1940hrs, Company 23 was alerted for an un-known structure fire in the rear of a house on Beech Lane in the Forest Brook Glen section of the first due. Within minutes , the Fire Chief, Engines 235, 232, Rescue 23, and Rescue Engine 23 were on the street with a total staffing of 15. The company arrived to find a fire in a garage in the alley way behind the residence. The fire was quickly knocked and the incident was scaled back to units from 23 and 17. Chief Dierolf had the "Newport Command".
While picking up from the incident in Forrest Brook Glen, the company was dispatched to Churchmans Road in the area of DelTech for an MVC with a person not alert. Rescue 23 cleared and made the response. Before the arrival of Rescue 23, Rescue Engine 12 advised they could handle and Rescue 23 cleared.
