Rescue Runs 17 House Fire

Just before 2000hrs on Saturday January 3rd, Rescue 23 was alerted to assist Station 17 (Five Points) on a working residential fire.  Rescue 23 quickly responded with a crew of 7, under the command of Lt. Hamm.  Just prior to the arrival of the Rescue, a mayday was transmitted for a firefighter that had fallen through the steps, but was quickly cleared.  Rescue 23 stood by for several minutes before being placed in service on division 2 with a handline to extinguish hot spots.  Rescue 23 also performed some roof operations before being cleared by command.
