Engine Company Runs Second Alarm Building Fire
Monday, May 18, 2015

On the above date, just before 0400hrs, Station 23 was alerted to assist Christiana Fire Company on a "Working" commercial building fire.  Engine 235 with a crew of 6 under the command of Captain Mills quickly responded.  Crews arrived to find a single story 100x30 mixed commercial occupancy building with heavy fire conditions through the roof.  Engine 235 was directed by command to stretch a back up hand-line to assist with fire extinguishment.  Crews worked to pull ceiling in the building to extinguish the fire.  This fire went to 2 alarms before being brought under control.  Engine 23 operated for around 3 hours before being released by command.
