Smoke Showing Back to Back Days in Christiana

On 01/23/2017 just after before 1300hrs, Rescue 23 was dispatched to assist Christiana Fire (12) on a reported apartment fire.  Units arrived to find smoke showing from the bottom floor of a 3 story apartment building.  Rescue 23 arrived and completed a primary search of the 3rd floor.  Units found a dryer fire in a 1st floor apartment and extinguished the same.  Rescue 23 operated for around 40 minutes before clearing.  Also during this time, Squad 23 handled an MVC on West Newport Pike, units arrived and found no patients.  

On 01/24/2017 just before 0700hrs, the box was sounded for a house fire in the 500 block of Salem Church Road.  Engine 23 responded with a crew of 6.  Units from 12 arrived to find smoke showing from a single family dwelling.  Engine 23 arrived and stood by as the Rapid Intervention Team before being released by command.  Engine 23 operated for around 45 minutes.
