Rescue and Squad Respond to Pedestrian Struck on West Newport Pike

At 0200 hours on Sunday, September 30, Squad 23, Rescue 23, Rescue Engine 30-6, B30, and multiple ALS units were alerted to West Newport Pike at Westmont Avenue for an MVC involving a pedestrian struck. Units arrived and confirmed the report, one victim was quickly transported to a local area hospital. Rescue 23 remained onscene for approximately one hour while DSP conducted their investigation, Squad 23 handled one additional incident shortly after clearing the scene.
