Continuous Training Keeps Members Sharp

Throughout the week members spent many hours training on various topics, as well as cleaning and maintaining the apparatus and equipment. On Tuesday, February 5, ten members traveled to the Elsmere Fire Company for the weekly Area 7 drill. This week's topic was forcible entry, and the training lasted for approximately three hours. On Wednesday, the company hosted an elevator rescue class, taught by Captain Jeff Kramer of the Arlington, VA Fire Department. Members learned about elevator mechanics, and access points. After finishing the elevator class, a few hours were spent reviewing the operations of the Squad crew at the Bunker Hill Road fire.
