Two Fires for Squad 23

On Tuesday 09/24/2019 just before 0400hrs, Station 23 was alerted to assist Elsmere on a residential fire in the 300 Block of Olga Road.  Squad 23 arrived as the second due engine and stretched a back up line.  Crews found a fire on the exterior of the structure with minor fire extension inside. 

Then just before 1800hrs, Aetna HH&L and surrounding units were dispatched to the unit block of Country Club Drive for a reported apartment building fire.  First arriving units reported fire showing from the third floor and roof, and requested the second alarm.  Squad 23 responded as part of the second alarm.  They arrived, secured a third water supply, and stretched a back up line to the third floor to assist with fire suppression.  Squad 23's crew operated for around 2 hours before being cleared by command. Thanks to Parkside Fire Company (Delco 45) for covering our district while the Squad was operating at this fire.
